This upcoming weekend the kids of Ivey League MMA fly to the west coast and compete at the 2014 Pan Kid Championships.

Pan Kids is considered the biggest and toughest kids BJJ tournament in the world today. Kids from all over will compete for the prized gold medal, and the chance to be called a Pan Kids Champion.

You know Ivey League wouldn’t miss something like this. We’re always game to compete and test our skills.

This year we’re sending a team of our finest kids. A total of 11 students are making the trip. Listed below is the team we’ll be sending:

  • Jameson Gerrity
  • Seton Gerrity
  • Jacob Miller
  • Lauren Miller
  • Michael Garlington
  • WikiFish Avila
  • Dax Avila
  • Eric Marsh
  • Joel Marquez
  • Joaquin Marquez
  • Robert Mish

All the kids listed above have a shot at gold. It’s going to be a battle no doubt about it. Something this special won’t come easy. The Ivey League Kids know this all too well.

Our kids train year round for this one tournament. Lots of hard work, sacrifice and tears came along the way for most of them. Last year the kids brought back two gold medals, won by Jacob Miller and WikiFish. We’d like to improve upon that this year.

Tough Sessions Leave The Kids Tired, Sore and a little beat up but in the end, It’s Needed For Success, on and off the mats.

Heading into the tournament and leading the way for Ivey League are three standout competitors in Jacob Miller, WikiFish Avila and Michael Garlington.

They’ve been here before so they know what it takes. We hope they can pass their knowledge onto the younger kids who hit the Pan Kids mats for the first time.

No matter what happens, win, lose or draw, our kids are ready to put it on the line and give it everything they’ve got. We’ve got faith in our little ones. News and results will be posted as they come in.

We always say “Good Luck”, but in the end luck plays a very small part in this process. The gold medals are won in the practice room through lots of hard training. It’s almost time…stay tuned!
